Epcot seems to be one of those parks that you either love or hate, personally I love it! It has been my favourite park ever since my first visit to Walt Disney World in 1992.… View Post

Whenever we plan a visit to Walt Disney World one of the things I look forward to most is a day at one of the Disney waterparks. We have so much fun tipping each other out of our tubes on the lazy river or racing each other to the bottom of the slides, only to get out and climb back up to the top and start all over again!

There is an abundance of accommodation options in Orlando – villas, apartments, hotels that are off-site of the main theme parks and hotels that are on-site. We have stayed at an off-site hotel, a villa and at some of the Disney hotels. Our two favourite options are the Disney hotels and villas.

We had visited numerous Disney resorts on previous trips, to have meals at the restaurants, but we had never stayed onsite at Disney before and we weren’t too sure what to expect. From the moment the Magical Express dropped us off at Old Key West I knew we were going to love it!

There is no holiday like a Walt Disney World holiday, it’s a full on experience with rides, parades, fireworks, character interactions, water parks and much more. Walt Disney World is huge at 40 square miles. There are four theme parks, two water parks and Disney Springs, formerly known as Downtown Disney.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Kidani Village is our home resort as Disney Vacation Club members. We have stayed here a few times now and we always have a great time. The lobby, while smaller than the one at Jambo House (Kidani’s sister resort), never fails to take my breath away.

The Disney Vacation Club is essentially a timeshare scheme, but with one big difference – there is absolutely no hard sell! We have been members for a few years now and love it.
