Every January I like to set myself some goals for the year ahead. I don’t do resolutions because I feel like they’re easy to forget about, but goals give you something to work towards. 2018 was such an amazing year for us and I want that to continue this year. My 2019 goals are going to be much more focused on me, growing my blog, and home based activities. We won’t be able to travel as much as we did last year because Abby is sitting her GCSEs in the summer. This means that she will be expected to attend revision sessions during the school holidays and at the weekends too. So until she leaves school our travel opportunities will be restricted, but it’s not a problem and we already have some awesome things booked in for the summer months!

I try to have goals in 3 different categories – some that I know I’ll definitely be able to achieve, some that I’ll have to work for and some that I’ll have to really stretch myself to complete. I like to add one or two ‘wild cards’ because, you know, it’s good to dream!

- Get A Mantlepiece (ok so I know this is a weird one, but I really want a mantlepiece that I can decorate for Christmas!)
- Take Up Yoga Again
- Read More
- Meditate Every Day
- Prioritise Self Care At Least Once A Week
- Travel to the Maldives
- Listen to more podcasts
- Host a family get together once a month
- Go To Disneyland Paris
- Learn To Be More Confident
- Be Less Scared About Spending Money
- Book A Trip To Giraffe Manor
- Visit Edinburgh
- Go on a Date Night once a month
- Finish decorating the house
